Remember when Ikea used to have those amazing dried rose petals??I can't stand to think about how many times I filled my birdbath with those now discontinued rose petals... and let them flutter off with the wind. Two summers ago I was fortunate to get about 15 boxes on clearance for 99 cents each. I filled my birdbath with water every morning and sprinkled rose petals on the surface. I know... it was frivolous and wasteful. But it was so lovely. Every now and then when I was watching the kids ride their bikes or just sitting on the front steps reading, a rose petal would catch a ride on a breeze and flipflop by me. It was like a little pink kiss blown my way.
