Where Blogger's Create

The French Cupboard is honored to have 18 authors who contribute to the blog! We are truly a blog team hoping to inspire others to work, shop and live uncommon.

The fine print of French Cupboard is done mainly from a tiny corner in the dinning room of our farmhouse.

A simple armoire holds all the clutter.

I considered sprucing it up a little for you but that wouldn't give you an accurate picture. Mr Blessing is the neat one around here and his office area is so neat it's boring. =)

Because I work from an armoire, the bulletin boards and

magnetic boards hold both work and inspiration.

It's a cozy spot on the main floor where I can watch the kids on the swingset, keep an eye on dinner in the kitchen, and generally be part of life going on around me. What a blessing to have this little corner!

If you would like to see the third floor studio where I sew and work on projects, you can visit HERE.

Simply Head Over Heels for Alice

It's finally here! Alice is in the house! Welcome to the "Mad about Alice Party" now, you'll have a chance to show off all your muchness...and I know you all have MUCH!
Read through to the bottom and see how you can win one of 10 giveaways!
I dare say, I think my head was going to explode with so many party ideas that I couldn't contain myself...
I dug up my 1940's Alice books, my mad hatter top hat and of course a key plus, what every mad hatter needs, a book of good manners from 1929, it looks as if it's never been used..must have been his!
I believe this belonged to a furry character who is notoriously late! I had a good friend in high school who used to refer to me as the white rabbit....now why would she do that? Could it be, although I'm always moving at the speed of light I still never get anywhere on time or at least without forgetting something...well, maybe.
(this is a paper mache piece I did a long time ago)
Oh look the Red Queen has shown up disguised as the mad hatter....sorry queen but your tell tale finger waving and loud screeches about heads coming off have given you away!

What's a party without party favors? That's not something we'll have to worry about because we got 'em!
French Cupboard is giving away 10, yes, I said ten,! There will be 10 winners of 10 different Alice goodies ......all created by French Cupboard members honoring our girl Alice! (check out all the goodies in more detail HERE)
The key to winning? Just leave a comment. Or link up and play along. Either way, you'll be in the drawing to win one of... gulp... 10 prizes! Yep - there's 10 giveaway items so there will be 10 winners!! NOTE: We decided to keep the comments open through Wednesday to allow everyone an opportunity to sign up for the prizes.
Now go and drink up some madness....and visit the rest of the party goers!
....see you on the other side of the looking glass!
Beth

"Have I gone mad?"

French Cupboard Goes to the Texas Shows

Well, sorta... We were there by proxy. Theresa from Garden Antiques has a blog party to kick off each season at the Texas shows and she so graciously allowed French Cupboard to send some gifts to hand out at the party.

That's Jodie holding one of our goodie bags. Thank you to all the gals attending who took pictures and have been sharing them on their blogs!

(above picture by: http://redneckchic.blogspot.com/)

Theresa had a name tag contest and some of the gals got a Gypsy Brocante rosette in their goodie bags! That's Jo Packam from Where Women Create donning one of Jill's rosettes.

(I'm sorry - I borrowed the above picture from someone and now I don't remember who. If it's your photo, let me know so I can add your link)

And Heather Bullard from Flea Market Syle also wearing her rosette.

No two bags were the same and everyone got different treasures. I love the lacy charms! And the Honey Lavender soap smells soooo amazing.

There were even a few things to inspire you to create your own treasure...

(photos above and below from: http://rockinm.blogspot.com/)

We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of Theresa's blog party! If you would like to find some of the items from the goodie bags, visit the shops here.

Will there be more goodie bags at the Fall blog party? Steve and I hope to attend the Fall shows in person so maybe we can plan something special with Theresa *wink, wink* Be sure to stop by Zapp Hall.

Thank you to Theresa and all the gals who shared photos. And big thanks to the Cupboard gals who donated items!
